We live in a world dominated by wickedness, sadness, and pain. Sin has invaded our planet and disfigured God's beautiful creation, causing us suffering and bitterness.
If you are thinking that only you are not taking off 🛫 in your life: emotional, professional, financial, and affective, I am sorry to inform you, your self-pity is exacerbated and is blinding you to observe the reality around you!
Your tool to measure the success of some may not be very reliable. Sometimes you are using superficial contact with people or seeing their lives through "hand-picked" pictures in your social networks.
Unfortunately, we all have problems! There is always someone looking at our life, or some part of it, and thinking we are "lucky" while we ourselves look at another person and sigh as we watch their magic seconds in a post, stories or reels.
We need to stop looking at ourselves and others with our bad, sinful gaze and beg Jesus to take our gaze and direct it to Him!
It was never God's plan for there to be sadness, anguish, disappointments, death, sickness, and emptiness in our hearts.
What you are feeling is a result of living in a world that is still dominated by sin.
However, Jesus said:
"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Jesus said that our troubles are numbered, for one day, Jesus will put an end to bitterness and pain. One day, when Jesus returns to this earth and takes the saved with Him to Heaven, our deepest dilemmas will be solved (John 14:1-3; Revelation 21:1-4).
